Over the past year or so, the amount of blogging jobs on the Internet have absolutely exploded. For many, blogging is more appealing than more traditional forms of writing in that the writing flows easier and quicker. How great to be able to do it for a living! If you’re wondering how to find a blogging job, these tips can help.
Start your own blogs
There’s more to blogging than just writing. That’s why it’s best to gain experience before applying for a blogging job. Start your own blog using one of the user-friendly, free platforms such as Blogger or Wordpress.com and research SEO and traffic building techniques.
Try and build up a community by encouraging comments and adding to your blogroll. It takes several months to truly get a blog going. Once you have several months of experience, you can begin to find a blogging job.
Who hires bloggers?
Plenty of people are looking to hire bloggers nowadays. Some of the blogging jobs are with blogging networks. Networks are communities filled with bloggers who are paid a monthly salary and/or a portion of the advertising revenue.
Many corporations are also looking to hire bloggers. Big businesses are starting to realize having blogs on their websites add a personal touch and are the way to spread the word about new products and answer consumer questions.
Lots of individuals are hiring bloggers to maintain their own blogs. Many of them purchase a domain with the best of intentions but soon find out they don’t have the time or inclination to keep a blog going. That’s where you come in.

How to apply for blogging jobs
Once you find a blogging job for which you feel you’re qualified. Follow the instructions in the job listings. In most cases, you’ll either have to apply through an online application form or via an email address. Be sure to list your experience as well as links to all of your blogs.
If you can, send a nice cover letter detailing your experience and let the person on the other end know why you’re the best person for the job.
